BREAKING: Loch Ness side A82 route closed after two vehicle collision near Clansman Hotel

A two-vehicle crash has closed the A82 road near Drumnadrochit.

The Loch Ness-side route is closed to traffic in both directions is closed after the incident near the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel.

Emergency services were alerted shortly after 7pm this evening, with police, fire and ambulance crews now on the scene, just a few miles from the popular tourist village of Drumnadrochit.

It is not yet clear if there have been any casualties.

Traffic Scotland is reporting that the road is restricted to both eastbound and westbound traffic.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent two appliances to the scene, from Inverness and Drumnadrochit, after being alerted at around 7.32pm following a request to assist the police.

Emergency services have been asked for comment.
