BREAKING: Emergency services attend two car smash blocking road at notorious accident blackspot junction near Inverness Airport

Emergency services are attending a two-car crash at a notorious Highland accident blackspot.

The vehicles collided near the Inverness airport junction of the B9039 which links Ardersier with the A96.

It is not yet known if there were any casualties but the road is partially blocked, with traffic building up in the vicinity.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 11.35am on Friday, 26 April, 2024, police were called to a report of a two car road crash on the B0939 near to Ardersier.

"Emergency services are in attendance and the road is partially blocked."

The Scottish ambulance service have been contacted for comment.
