BREAKING: Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service called as road crash partially blocks the Kessock Bridge

A collision between vehicles has partially closed the Kessock Bridge.

The accident is believed to have been reported at about 7.15 pm this evening with police and ambulance called to the scene.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the crash.

Road users are advised to avoid the area if possible and approach the crossing with care, with tailbacks reported on both sides of the firth.

A Traffic Scotland spokesman said: “The A9 Northbound at Kessock Bridge is currently restricted, due to a road traffic collision. Road users are advised to use caution on approach.”
