Police are at the scene of a road traffic accident on the minor Struie road north of Alness.

The B9176 route was closed for a period of time near the notorious accident blackspot of Newbridge.

It is not known if anyone was injured in the accident.

Highland Council’s social media reported just under an hour ago that the road was closed, but has now said it has reopened.

It comes amid a yellow weather warning for ice in the Highlands.

Police have been contacted for further details.
