BREAKING: A9 closed at Tomich in Highlands due to flooding

The A9 is closed in both directions at Tomich due to flooding on the carriageway.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route at this time.

Traffic Scotland says the closure is affecting traffic in both directions.

Earlier, the snow gates were closed further north on the road between Berriedale and Helmsdale.

Traffic Scotland flagged that they had reopened again around 3pm.
