Officers from Highland and Islands Police Division investigate a break-in and theft of alcohol worth around £160 from the Spar convenience store in Barn Church Road in Culloden near Inverness

Officers are hunting a burglar who broke into a Culloden convenience store.

It was around 5.20am yesterday at the shop in Barn Church Road, near Inverness.

The suspect forced entry to the premises and stole a quantity of alcohol which had an estimated value of £160.

He was described as slim, wearing a dark hoodie and blue tracksuit bottoms.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area in the early hours, or has information to assist police enquiries, is asked to contact officers as soon as possible."

Those with information should call Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 0376 of November 10.
