A SEVEN-year-old boy has been taken to hospital following "a crash involving a car and a pedestrian" in an Inverness neighbourhood, police have said.

Officers said they were called to the area around Thornbush Road at around 11.45am on Sunday following reports of the collision.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a seven-year-old boy, was taken to hospital by ambulance.

“The road is currently closed between India Street and Anderson Street and road users are asked to avoid the area.”
