Boy (17) arrested and charged after disturbance on Stadium Road

Police have confirmed that a 17-year old male has been arrested and charged with breach of the peace after yesterday’s SPFL Championship playoff final between Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Hamilton Academical.

The arrest was made after a “disturbance” at Stadium Road, amidst angry scenes which took place inside and outside Caledonian Stadium after the match.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged in connection with a breach of the peace following a disturbance at Stadium Road, Inverness which happened around 7.35pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at court at a later date.”
