The scenery, nightlife and even the climate of Inverness are highlighted in a short film posted on the BBC's digital platform, The Social.

Freelance broadcaster and DJ Grace Nicoll has put together the guide explaining why she thinks Inverness is "so bloomin' brilliant".

The clip highlights places such as Eden Court Theatre, Greig Street Bridge, the city's Gaelic signs plus activities such as bowling and fire walking.

Ms Nicoll, who has lived in Inverness for six years, is originally from Campbeltown in the Mull of Kintyre.

She previously worked for MFR radio.

She says although Inverness is a city, it has more of a town mentality.

BBC The Social is an award-winning digital platform based in Glasgow that develops creative new talent.
