Highland Hospice's Blister Sisters' charity ball raises £40k
A charity fundraiser for Highland Hospice has raised £40,000 in just one glittering night.
The event at the Drumossie Hotel was to celebrate 18 women from the Highlands who are to trek the mountains of Croatia later this year.
The group, who call themselves the Blister Sisters, are setting off in May for a five-day trek across the Istria peninsula in the north of the country.

Many of the women taking part in the five day adventure have experienced cancer or have lost loved ones to it and similar diseases.
A post of social media from Highland Hospice said: "What a wonderful Ball last night in the Drumossie Hotel, hosted by te Blister Sisters, a group of 18 ladies who will be trekking in Croatia this May. 🥰
"The event raised an incredible £40,000.
"Massive well done to Highland Hospice’s own Blister Sister Emma Nicol who puts her heart and soul into every event she works on in her role as Fundraiser.
"This one was no exception, and was delivered to perfection."
The post went on to say the ladies would like to offer huge thanks also to everyone who attended or who donated or bought one of the amazing auction/raffle prizes on offer, as well as:
