AN acclaimed Black Isle cheese shop will be closed for 10 days as staff self-isolate as a precaution.

Jon Palmer of The Cheese House in Cromarty has also suggested customers from earlier this week may wish to test for Covid.

He said he is currently testing negative.

Mr Palmer yesterday tweeted: "Shop closed for next ten days as we self-isolate. Sorry folks!

"Any customers from today or yesterday may wish to test themselves. (I'm currently negative)."

The shop will reopen on Sunday, May 1.
