PUPILS at a Black Isle school are being invited to consider teeing up a four-year greenkeeping apprenticeship with an acclaimed local golf club.

The opportunity being shared by Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club is being flagged to pupils by the local secondary school, Fortrose Academy.

The would-be applicant is told that on-the-job college and course training will be given to achieve the appropriate national qualifications.

They're also advised that due to early start times in the summer they will be required to travel to the club before public transport is available.

The links club is also to boast being a Scottish Golf Championship venue.

Located on the Chanonry peninsula, it's the 15th oldest recorded club in the world (1793) and was redesigned in 1932 by five-time Open Champion James Braid.
