Staff shortages prompt Black Isle fire station recruitment drive for on-call firefighters

A BLACK Isle fire station that is "very short of crew" is attempting to address the issue with recruitment information sessions.

One session is being staged at Fortrose Community Fire Station tonight from 7.30pm to 9pm.

And then another will be held on Saturday (August 27) from 10am to noon.

The appeal for on-call firefighters asks: "Do you live and/or work in Avoch, Fortrose, Rosemarkie and surrounding area?

"We want to hear from those looking to make a difference in their community, learn new skills and boost their income. Come and see us at one of the events to meet the team and find out more!"
