CHRISTMAS trees grown on the Black Isle will feature amongst the festive fare being sold by a supermarket retailer this year – and customers can even track where they have been grown.
Lidl says its popular real Nordmann fir Christmas trees are expertly and sustainably grown from seed on the Black Isle, across 2000 acres of rich green woodland.
It says its fresh cut non-drop Nordman fir is well known for the strength of its pine needles and means less maintenance within the home.
With all LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) marque certified trees, the producers are recognised for growing their products in an environmentally sustainable fashion, with due consideration and care for the surrounding countryside and wildlife.
It's pegging the cost of a 6ft tree at £24.99.
Lidl says its customers can even find out exactly where their tree was grown using the special tree tracker by heading to lidl.co.uk/trackyourtree to follow its journey to the store.
