A group of bikers are raising cash to donate Easter eggs to NHS workers.

Highland Bikers is aiming to generate £1200 and so far attracted more than £200.

Emma Hall and Kayleigh Dunne, who are organising the campaign, said: "After much discussion, we have cancelled this year's Easter Egg Run to Raigmore Hospital due to the Covid-19 outbreak, however, we don't want the patients and staff to miss out.

"We will use the money to buy eggs and arrange safe delivery to Raigmore, so dig deep, we need at least 600 eggs to make sure everybody gets one."

Emma added: "For those who don't know. Every year, on Easter Sunday approximately 130 bikers meet up, donate Easter eggs and then we all go for a ride out on our bikes which finishes at Raigmore Hospital.

"By the time we get there our trusty group of helpers have bagged up the eggs and we hand them out to patients and staff at Raigmore. For obvious reasons we cannot do that this year, but we don't want everyone to miss out. Please donate, even if it's only £1.

"We will arrange to deliver eggs and/or chocolate bars as close to Easter Sunday as possible."
