Police support community bike workshops to help cyclists get mobile in safety

THERE was a great turnout of cyclists young and old in SouthKessock, Inverness, for one of the first summer workshops to ensure your machine is on tip-top condition.

Now more similar events combining safety with learning skills are being held, with community policing support.

The cyclist get help with Dr Bike, a free health check and repair as part of the "Own Your Street" Inverness Project run through the local Velocity Café bicycle workshop.

Community maps are also produced and distributed for everyone to help people get more active in their communities and see the amazing places right on our doorstep.

Further locations this week are:

Today Tuesday June 29 - 10am – 2.30pm – playing fields by the James Cameron Centre.

Wednesday June 30 - 10am – 2.30pm – Milton Playing Fields.

Thursday July 1 10am -2.30pm – Playground on Ashton Road.

The police thank all involved for their efforts helping the community get active.
