A 20-year-old man will be sentenced next week when he appears at Inverness Sheriff Court on other more serious matters.

Sheriff Sara Matheson was told Scott Smith, of Mackintosh Road, Inverness, was on remand and due to appear in court on November 3 when it is expected he will tender guilty pleas to some of the charges he is facing.

Defence solicitor Clare Russell said that her client was admitting stealing a bicycle and a breach of bail curfew but “he is due to appear next week on a number of other charges where it is hoped there will be a global resolution”.

Smith had pleaded guilty to stealing a bicycle from Ivanhoe Avenue, Inverness on March 3, 2022.

Sentence was deferred until this week.
