Bella Festival fans caught up in the traffic on the Thursday this year will be delighted to hear that organisers are re-introducing car park passes next year from July 25 - 27.

The parking passes must be booked in advance but it is hoped this will encourage more car sharing, manage the car park capacities and speed up entry to the festival.

Thousands of motorists queued for hours to get to the festival site on the Thursday while residents in local communities including Beauly and Kiltarlity found themselves caught up in the gridlock across the area.

As organisers reported best-ever sales of 25,000 tickets for the three-day festival, traffic on the A862 and the A833 came to a standstill with reports of people delayed for five hours.

But for next year Bella fans will have the opportunity to select the car park most convenient for where you want to camp. A window sticker will be sent to your home address in advance to ensure you are directed to the correct car park.

Vehicle passes will cost £12 per vehicle.

The profit from the sale of these passes will be used to benefit the local communities. Full details will be announced in coming months following consultations with community groups.

So Bella fans set your alarms for 5pm Friday 18th August when tickets for the big 2024 event go on sale.

Weekend, Day, Child, Club Clan Bella and Caravan/Campervan tickets will be available, and the payment plan returns - allowing splitting the cost of weekend tickets over 10 months.

Glamping packages will be coming soon.
