ORGANISERS of the 2020 Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival have postponed their next ticket resale as the coronavirus crisis deepens.

The huge annual outdoor music and performing arts extravaganza near Beauly is due to be staged for a 17th year running from July 30 to August 1 this year.

Headline acts this year are Nile Rodgers & Chic and Emile Sande, with Passenger, Shed Seven and Stiff Little Fingers also among those set to perform live.

As yet the dates remain, but organisers fear the ongoing public health crisis could lead to cancellation.

A spokesman for the event said: “Due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis we have decided to postpone our next ticket resale.

“Although we are still hopeful that Bella will take place this summer, we feel it is only right to put the resale on hold for the meantime and will re-evaluate this over the coming days/weeks and keep you fully updated.”

Those already holding purchased tickets will be compensated should the big date on the Highland arts and entertainment calendar fall.

The spokesman added: “Please be assured that if the event is cancelled we will be exploring the possibility of rolling tickets over to the 2021 event. Though if customers are no longer able to attend the festival next year then of course they will be offered a refund (including payment plan).”
