Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival in line for UK title

The annual three-day event near Beauly has been leading the poll of 10 contenders with the vote closing today at midnight.

The vote is being run by holiday rentals site HolidayLettings.co.uk, which is owned by TripAdvisor.

KT Tunstall, Sister Sledge, Franz Ferdinand, Feeder and The Pretenders are in the line-up for this year’s event that runs August 3-5.

Meanwhile, Stagecoach North Scotland will operate a special Belladrum service August 3-6 with an enhanced timetable providing more connections to the festival, as well as return journeys to Inverness for those who are not camping.

The Bellabus or service 928 will also be joined by a service 928A which connects Belladrum to the Black Isle Show.

A dedicated bus – service 28X – will also link Inverness city centre to the Black Isle Show ground in Muir of Ord.

This year marks the 180th anniversary of the Black Isle Show, which is the north’s biggest farming event featuring animals, a craft and food hall, beer tents and a fun fair.

Service 28X will be in addition to the existing service 28 that connects Inverness to Beauly, Muir of Ord and Dingwall.
