November 2016: The glass viewing canopy is hoisted into place on the North Tower at Inverness Castle giving 360 degree views of the city and surrounding area.

The installation of the viewing platform marked the first phase in the multi-million pound transformation of Inverness Castle into a major tourist attraction which is due to open next year.

The careful operation, which took place before the city's courts service, moved to the new justice centre, was taken by the late Gary Anthony, an award-winning photographer with Highland News & Media.
