Tough participants in the Loch Ness Beast Race ran, crawled, and dragged their way over muddy obstacles, into cool loch water and down a giant water slide for charity.
It was held at the Aldourie Castle Estate, overlooking Loch Ness, on Saturday in aid of Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland.
A total of 1475 people completed the 10k event.
And it certainly was a monster challenge for Shaun MacLeod, from Inverness, and his family team – Hilda’s Heroes – who signed up to take part in the race in memory of their beloved nannie, Hilda Ramsay, who passed away last year.
He said: “It was absolutely amazing. We are all totally buzzing, it was such good fun. We helped each other over the course and honestly it was just brilliant. Plus raising over £2300 made it even better. We would definitely take part again.”
They had originally set out with a fundraising target of £1000.
They wanted to do the challenge as a family. To make a donation visit here.
