BBC pays tribute to This Farming Life star Donald Fraser Snr

The BBC has paid tribute to a Highland farmer who passed away.

Donald Fraser Snr was a much loved figure in the agricultural community and ran Dunain Mains family farm with his wife Mary and son Donald.

The property has been in the family since 1936.

In a post on social media Farm Ness paid tribute to Mr Fraser, who is currently appearing on BBC2's "This Farming Life" programme.

A BBC spokesman said:“The team at This Farming Life is very saddened to hear of Donald Snr’s passing.

"We feel privileged to have got to know him both on and off screen, and to play a small part in recording some of his incredible work and life.

"All our thoughts are with his family.”
