Inverness-based MacLeod Roofing has won an award for its work at a major Scottish railway station.

It collected the roof sheeting and cladding award from the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) for a canopy and concourse replacement roof at Aberdeen railway station.

Story Contracting was the principal contractor for the project, Twinfix supplied the roof-glazing system and Macleod Roofing installed it.

Sandy MacLeod, managing director of MacLeod Roofing, said: “Aberdeen railway station was a challenging contract as the station remained live at all times.

“We worked to programme night shift line blocks where the work had to happen no matter what the weather was. Our team did an excellent job which was led by site manager Neil Holden.

“His determination and attention to detail contributed to this contract being completed well and on time.”
