The Met Office were spot on with promises of a clear view of one of nature's most spectacular sights on Sunday (February 26).

"The Aurora Borealis may be visible as far south as central England tonight where skies remain clear," they posted yesterday.

And the Northern Lights are also likely to be seen again on Monday night, if anyone missed their big chance.

One who grabbed the opportunity and made the very most of it was Badenoch man Ryan Hill, who has sent in some of his amazing shots for readers to enjoy.

"Good evening, I wanted to share these pictures of the aurora over Newtonmore," he said.

"I took them while walking the dog.

"It was a perfect night, it was crystal clear."
