Art and crafts on offer at extended Inverness summer market

Wasps' Inverness Creative Arts Academy, a hub of talented crafters will be open to the public this evening and over the weekend for its Summer Market.

The aim of the event is primarily to support Wasps’ tenants by showcasing their work to visitors.

It also provides the opportunity for networking between artists of different ages, experience levels and crafts to come together.

Their bi-annual market will host a vast array of products. With 28 different stall holders from across the Highlands there will be everything from paintings and prints, to decorative homewares, textiles, ceramics, needlework, silverware and jewellery.

Arts co-ordinator Caitlin Callaghan said that feedback sessions led to today's 4pm-8pm opening, in a bid the cater for tourists and provide an extra option for people who may work weekends. It will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm).
