Retired police officer Ruth Mason, who is partnered with Inverness Courier content editor Andy Dixon, has organised the event at Rose Street Foundry in Inverness, starting at 8pm. The event is with quizmaster Martin Bannon.
It will contribute to their efforts to generate money for the annual dance contest’s organisers and hosts Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.
Ruth, from Inverness, has also organised a coffee morning at Nairn United Reformed Church this coming Saturday, starting at 10am. “There will be a chocolate stall, tombola and raffle to be drawn on the day,” she said. “The Nairn community has been very supportive with many businesses gifting raffle prizes and supplies for the coffee morning.”
She has also put together a race night at the Westerlea Hotel in Nairn on April 6 and a ceilidh at Hootananny in Inverness on April 7. “Race night will be a night of fun and all the races have been sponsored by local businesses,” Ruth said. “I am very grateful for the support from so many businesses in Nairn and also my group of helpers.”
They also have the Highland Masquerade Ball at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness on March 29 (Good Friday), which is being organised by Andy and colleagues at Highland News and Media.
