Cadet corporal Daniela Rusmane (16) of 1st Battalion The Highlanders’ Ardersier detachment, has a new qualification.

She now has a BTEC level 1 award in teamwork, personal skills and citizenship.

Delivered by the Cadet Vocational Qualification Organisation (CVQO), the award is equivalent to a SCQF Level 4 with the Scottish Qualifications Authority.

Central to the free grading are life skills in leadership, teamwork, communications, problem-solving and fitness.

Having already completed her One Star Cadet Training qualification, Cpl Rusmane merely had to complete an application form enrolling
