A STRETCH of the road to Ardersier is to be closed over two weeks from next Monday during daytime for repair work.

Motorists are being advised by the Highland Council that there will be a temporary road closure on the B9039 Newton – Castle Stuart -Ardersier Road.

The closure will be in place from Monday, September 6 until Friday, September 17 and shall only apply between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30.

The stretch on the B9039 starts just past Castle Stuart commencing at a point 530 metres north west of its junction with the U1283 Castle Stuart – Easter Dalziel Road to its junction with the C1020 Dalcross Station Road.

The closure is required in the interest of public safety to enable contractors, working on behalf of the Highland Council to carry out resurfacing works located within the public road boundary.

Access will be maintained at all times for emergency vehicles and pedestrian access.
