Police appeal after £400 worth of speakers allegedly stolen from HMV in Inverness's Eastgate Shopping Centre

Speakers worth £400 were reportedly stolen from HMV in the Eastgate Shopping Centre.

The incident sparked a police appeal to the public to help find the man they suspect is responsible.

According to Police Scotland “a male entered the store and unplugged two House of Marley speakers before placing them in a bag and leaving without paying for them.”

He is described as a white male in his 40s with short brown hair, medium build, and he was wearing a bright blue waterproof jacket, navy jogging bottoms and navy trainers with white soles.

The appeal said: "We are appealing for information following the report of the theft of two speakers worth £400 from HMV, Eastgate Shopping Centre, Inverness.

"At about 4pm, Saturday, September 23, a male entered the store and unplugged two House of Marley speakers before placing them in a bag and leaving without paying for them.

"The male is described as a white male with short brown hair in his 40s, medium build, wearing a bright blue waterproof jacket, navy jogging bottoms and navy trainers with white soles.

"We ask anyone with information about this incident to contact Police Scotland on 101 or via the Police Scotland website quoting 2114 of 24/09/2023.

"Anonymous reports can be made to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
