Paralympic gold medallist Karen Darke is hosting an online event for her upcoming documentary Pole of Possibility.

Karen recently went on an expedition to Antarctica with her team, including Mike Webster a film-maker, from Inverness, and Mike Christie, a professor in environmental economics.

They explored Antarctica having to ski for up to nine or 10 hours a day.

It was a first for Mike, who had never even skied before he started his training.

The documentary is an inspirational piece about turning challenges into possibilities. It will show the challenges the team faced as well as the beauty of the nature Antarctica has to offer.

Karen took on this challenge after living a strict life with her training and travelling for her paralympics career for 13 years. She wants to encourage people by showing them what is possible if you reframe your mindset and see the possibilities that can emerge from a challenge.

People can expect stories, images and a Q&A session from the event.

The event will take place online at 4pm today.
