There was plenty of Christmas cheer, fun, games and valuable school funds raised as Cawdor Primary School staged its Christmas Fayre.

Everyone, young and old, had a merry old time with a Christmas market featuring arts and crafts, gifts, baking and refreshments.

Santa also made a special guest appearance, while families were able to book a portrait from a professional photo-shoot studio, take part in a prize raffle, and enjoy face painting and a host of other attractions.

With more than £3000 raised, one of the organisers, Halde Pottinger, said: “I could not be more proud of what we achieved.

“It was the first Christmas event for a number of years, and the first for many kids and their families.

“We were left astounded by the generosity shown from the community for raffle prizes, items, decorations, or simply just their time and effort.
