BREAKING NEWS: Motorbike and car collision blocks A82 Loch Ness road near Invermoriston - detours set up

EMERGENCY services are attending a crash on the A82 near the Loch Ness village of Invermoriston.

Traffic Scotland posted at 12.25pm today that there had been a one vehicle road traffic collision in the area and emergency services were there.

A woman who who was at the scene contacted the Inverness Courier later to say the incident involved a motorbike and a car.

At 12.21pm Traffic Scotland said that the road, the main route between Inverness and Fort William, was closed in both directions.

Lengthy detours were put in place.

Scottish Fire and Rescue said that a crew from Fort Augustus and another from Drumnadrochit were still in attendance at 1.30pm.

No further details of the incident or if there was anyone injured were available.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of crash on the A82 close to Invermoriston at around 12.10pm on Tuesday, 19 July 2022.

“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed with a suitable diversion put in place.”
