Academy Street partially closed during evenings for three weeks from today

Academy Street in Inverness will be partially closed from this evening onwards as gas network SGN carries out work on underground pipes.

The closure marks the beginning of a three-week period of evening works, which are expected to continue into November.

In a statement, Highland Council have confirmed that the westbound lane of Academy Street will be closed from Monday to Friday between 6.30pm and 11pm, from Friday October 13 until Friday November 3, 2023.

The local authority has stated that restrictions will only be in place when the appropriate signage is in place.
