UPDATE (11.26am): The A96 west of Forres has fully reopened to traffic after an earlier crash involving a van and car left an oil spill on the road.

The road was blocked in both directions at the Bridge of Findhorn following the collision which occurred sometime before 9.23am. However it later partially reopened under "police control". It has since been cleared and was fully open to traffic again by 11.17am.

There was no immediate word on any injuries.
