A9 slip road and Inshes overbridge in Inverness are 'clear' following 'police incident'

Motorists were blocked by police from crossing the Inshes overbridge and entering the A9 via the southbound slip road from the Raigmore Interchange earlier this morning.

Police said later there was concern for a woman in the area and she was taken to hospital.

All roads are open again added the police spokeswoman.

Ambulance and fire units also attended the incident shortly after 5am.
