Occupants of four cars escaped injury in a crash on the A9 north of the Kessock Bridge this morning.

The road has now fully reopened to traffic after the multiple collision at the Munlochy turn-off.

Police were called to the B9161 junction at around 8.190 am today.

The trunk road was blocked and then partially blocked for some time as the vehicles were removed and officers cleared the scene.

A ;police spokeswoman said: “We were called to a report of a four-car crash at the A9 Munlochy junction, North Kessock Interchange, at around 8am on Friday, September 2.

“There were no injuries and the road reopened fully at 9.25am.

“Recovery has been arranged.”
