A9 closed at Aviemore after accident

Traffic Scotland is advising motorists to avoid the A9 at Aviemore.

The road was closed this evening at 6.29 after an accident near the junction with the A95 at what's locally known as the Lynwilg area.

Both northbound and southbound traffic is affected.

"Road users are advised to use an alternative route at this time," a Traffic Scotland spokesperson said.
