UPDATE: Road collision between car and tractor closes A82 in both directions at Fort Augustus

A COLLISION in Fort Augustus between a car and tractor has closed the A82 in both directions.

In an alert posted online at 8.41am it added that "emergency services [were] en route".

At 9am, Scottish Fire & Rescue said it had three appliances in attendance – from Fort Augustus, Drumnadrochit and Foyers.

A spokesperson added that the service received the call at 8.32am and that the crash involved two vehicles.

A police spokesman later added: "Around 8.30am on Friday, 17 March, we were called to a report of a crash involving a car and a tractor.

"Emergency services are at the scene.

"The road is currently closed."

No further information was available at the time of writing.
