A NAIRN community council recruited three new members at its recent meeting.

Welcomed to the Nairn West and Suburban Community Council fold were Kevin Reid – who stood unsuccessfully for the Lib Dems at the recent council elections – along with Phil Stuart and Graham Stuart, a former Nairn resident who recently returned to the town. They were welcomed by chairman Alastair Noble who said he was confident they would have a lot to offer.

Dr Noble also welcomed newly elected Highland Council members Provost Laurie Fraser, Barbara Jarvie and Paul Oldham and said he hoped they could work together for the benefit of the community. Apologies were tendered by Michael Green, Nairn’s other Highland Council member, who was unable to attend due to Covid.

Ali Macdonald announced she was retiring from the community council.
