February has arrived and for many it's that time of the year to celebrate love...for the oval, as the Guinness Six Nations rugby tournament is back in full swing.

Scotland might have bagged the Calcutta cup last weekend with a sharp and exciting performance, but that's only the beginning of one of the most anticipated rugby tournaments in the world.

Here are a few great places in Inverness where you can catch up with international rugby this year:

If you want to share a platter or traditional pub food with a pint and a good atmosphere The Auctioneers is a great choice boasting 12 screens.

Formerly known as Bar One, the recently re-branded The Imperial has multiple screens as well as pub grubs to keep you busy when you are not shouting in joy after a try.

Plus, for those travelling from further afield, it's smack bang in front of the train station!

If you love the atmosphere of a traditional pub, Lauders will be showing all the Six Nations matches throughout the tournament on screens and projectors.

Also, who doesn't love a post match party?

The Fluke

An option away from the city centre, The Fluke is a great choice if you are also looking to have a bite, a burger or a brownie while you catch up on your favourite team's action.

MacGregor's

An independent pub serving delicious food, craft beers and spirits and the perfect place if you are a lover of folk music.

And of course, some rugby!

Platform 8

Another classic pub with food on offer. With a good amount of screens for sports fans, the city centre bar takes the tournament seriously and this year they are also raffling a Scotland rugby shirt with proceeds to go to MacMillan Cancer Support.

Where will you be watching this year's Six Nations?
