£500,000 project for A82 layby

The project will see around 1150 tonnes of rock removed from the rock-face next to the roadside, with specialist netting and bolts installed across the rock to secure and stabilise the slope.

A BEAR Scotland spokeswoman said: “This will help ensure that this section of the trunk road remains safe for road users and that the embankment is protected from debris reaching the roadside.”

The project is due to start on Monday and is expected to take up to 10 weeks to complete.

The improvements will be carried out daily between 8am and 5pm with work taking place.

A 10mph convoy system will be in operation during the project.
