Breakfast, they say, is the most important meal of the day. When you don't fancy making your own here are some places to check out that will do it for you.

The cinema-themed eatery is a bright and breezy place to grab a bite with plenty of options to choose from for breakfast from an 11-item full Scottish breakfast for the truly ravenous, to hot rolls, porridge,Belgian waffles and more. Seemingly a bit of a hot spot for tourists, it has a real cosmopolitan feel.

Situated off the back road between Evanton and Dingwall, on a good day weather-wise this offers fantastic views across the Cromarty Firth to enjoy as you're tucking into your start the day meal.

At the opposite end of the street from Rendezvous, Wetherspoon's tends to sharply divide opinion, but for its fans it's a byword for value for money and it's another outlet that doesn't stint on providing customers with a wide range of breakfast options.
