1 Get your teeth into this chilling drama

In a female psychiatric hospital in Aberdeenshire in 1897, Mina Murray shares her encounters with the most terrifying of beasts – Dracula as the other patients listen, transported to a world where immortality and ultimate power is possible, even for women. But there are consequences... Moray paywright Morna Pearson’s adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic tale is filled with humour and her taste for the strange and grotesque. Dracula: Mina's Reckoning as at Eden Court now until Saturday, September 30, for a 14+ audience, showing at various times.

3 Get growing for spring!

On Saturday, September 30 at 11am (for 10-15 minutes), Howdens Garden Centre hosts Grow Together – a free event on autumn planting and spring flowering bulbs – with top tips. The sessions aredesigned to be informal, fun and educational in the centre's plant areas – and the sessions are open to all customers to learn from Howdens' experts to improve your gardening skills.

Hannah Rarity was the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2018, and has gone from strength to strength touring with top acts including Blazin’ Fiddles, Rura, Niteworks and Cherish the Ladies. Both of her albums Neath The Gloaming Star (2018) and To Have You Near (2022) have been shortlisted for album of the year at the BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards. In this concert on Sunday, October 1, Hannah will be mixing traditional, contemporary and her own songs in a show suitable for an audiences of all ages. Eden Court, 7.30pm.

5 Big emotions play out in Hollywood blockbuster brought to the stage

From Tuesday, October 3 to Saturday, October 7 The Bodyguard the award-winning smash-hit musical starring Emily Williams brings the story of former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, who is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge of the other. But under pressure and needing each other, what they don't expect is to fall in love. The show is suitable for 10+ audience. Eden Court, various times.
