A Haunting in Venice is the third in actor/ director Kenneth Branagh’s series of big screen reimaginings of the adventures of Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot. At Eden Court, from Friday.

2 Looking back on a life in sport

Veteran sports broadcaster Archie Macherson appears at the St Duthuc Bookfest to talk about his life and colourful career, his latest book – Touching The Heights – having been short-listed for Sunday Times Sports Book of The Year in the entertainment category. He will be at Tain Bowling Club on Friday from 7.30-8.30pm.

4 Irish singing star comes to the Highlands

Derek Ryan, one of Irish country music’s leading entertainers, makes his highly anticipated return to Inverness, performing a selection of self-penned hits along with a sprinkling of Country and Irish classics at Eden Court on Saturday evening.

Captured by director Lasse Hallström during their mega-successful 1970s tour of Australia, the newly remastered ABBA: The Movie will take you on a flashback journey to the time when disco reigned supreme and the Swedish group were royalty. This fan event also features exclusive extras, including an insight from the creators of the phenomenally successful London-based concert ABBA: Voyage, plus a glimpse at ABBA The Museum in Stockholm and more.
