Popped along to Under Canvas at Eden Court yet this summer? For Friday, July 17 with shows at 4.30pm and 8pm, there are Lairig + CLR Theory and a host of other musicians and line-ups throughout the week.

2 Game for a new movie classic?

Showing at Eden Court from Friday, July 14 to Monday, July 17 – and at Cromarty Cinema on Friday, July 21 – Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves (12A) It got great reviews when it was first released a few months back and so might be worth catching on the big screen while you can. A charming thief (Chris Pine) and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously wrong when they run foul of the wrong people. Tapping into the world and playful spirit of the legendary role-playing game it was judged by the critics as a hilarious and action-packed adventure. 3 In focus for Highland Pride ...

Two films screening as part of Highland Pride 2023 are at Eden Court with You Can Live Forever (15) on Friday, July 14, Saturday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 19 at various times. It's a Canadian film about two girls who quickly develop a close and growing friendship when Jaime goes, to live with her aunt and uncle who are Jehovah's Witnesses, and forms growing feelings for Marike.

On Sunday, July 16 at 7pm, Young Soul Rebels (15) from 1991 is a snapshot of late 70s London, youth culture meets identity politics in this thriller-gay love story set days before the Queen's Silver Jubilee celebrations. The world of pirate DJs Chris and Caz is shattered when a close friend is killed while cruising in the local park. The black community suspect the National Front, but the police have other ideas. The film is seen as a landmark for black – and queer – British film,

4 Buddy Holly's story don't fade away ...

Step back in time to tune into the tragically short life story of rock n roll pioneer Buddy Holly from Wednesday to Saturday, July 19-22 at Eden Court in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story at Eden Court. The multi award-winning West End and Broadway show first opened in 1989 and has been seen by 23 million people. The show features two hours of the star's greatest songs including That’ll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Rave On, Raining In My Heart, Everyday, Shout and others such as La Bamba, Chantilly Lace, Johnny B. Goode.
