1. Unleash your artistic side

If you have the urge to paint but aren't sure where to start a beginners watercolour class at the Spectrum Centre in Inverness this Saturday might be the one for you. Paint a cute little hedgehog with expert help. No painting experience necessary. All equipment and instruction provided. The class is aimed at adults but children have attended previous sessions and had lots of fun. They just have to be accompanied by a paying adult. £20 per person, 11am-1pm. 2. Get creative...in block form

Fortrose Library holds the next regular session for its popular Lego Club on Saturday, from 11am-12.30pm. All ages welcome to turn up and get stuck in. The library is located within Fortrose Community School.

3. Fine feathered friends

Speyside Falconry are in residence at Simpsons Garden Centre in Inverness this Saturday from 10am-2pm. Meet their beautiful birds of prey, take pictures and learn all about these fascinating creatures. Free.

4. Life on the ocean wave...

Nairn Coastal Rowing Club is holding its own regatta this weekend. From 10.30am-4pm on Saturday head to Nairn's Central Beach to cheer them on as team members in skiffs Dulsie and Esther take on groups from Findhorn, Ullapool, Avoch, Strathpeffer, Cromarty and Golspie. A grand raffle will also be held on the day
