4 fun family time things to do in Inverness this weekend

1 Ready for a 'Roarsome' experience?
Let the centuries roll away, back to the time when dinosaurs ruled the world with Dinosaur World Live coming to Eden Court live on stage with an interactive show from Tuesday, August 1 to Thursday, August 3, at 11am and 2pm, for everyone 3+. You can join an intrepid explorer journeying across uncharted territories to discover a pre-historic world of astonishing (and remarkably life-like) dinosaurs. Meet impressive creatures, including every child's favourite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Triceratops, Giraffatitan, Microraptor and Segnosaurus! And a special meet and greet after the show offers all brave explorers the chance to make a new dinosaur friend.
2 Get that gardening buzz
At Simpsons, the garden centre has fun-filled activities throughout the summer holidays, with a focus on bees and pollinators to tie in with their Bee On Board campaign. Activities will be on every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until August 3. To book, click below.
3 Fun for free
Free events for the coming week at the Eastgate Centre Summer Of Fun is first up on Tuesday, August 1 is Stories & Puppets where youngsters can learn to master the art of storytelling & puppetry! Learn the art of puppetry with hand puppets, finger puppets and string puppets and enjoy watching stories and even become a storyteller using your own imagination and creating characters. Then on Wednesday, August 2, FitKIDZ Go To The Circus when there is the chance to get fit while having fun learning circus skills! Young ones get active and burn energy and learn some circus skills using fun fitness equipment. Both sessions are on from from 11am – 3pm.
4 Movie in English and Ukrainian ... and Ninja Turtles
This is a lovely idea, Mavka: The Forest Song (PG) comes in two languages. It is released in the UK in the original Ukrainian version with subtitles and also as an English language dubbed version – both at Vue Cinema in Inverness. In an enchanted Ukrainian forest, a spirited Mavka nymph falls in love with Lucas, a village artist. Their forbidden romance faces challenges from disapproving spirits and Mavka's protective father. And also on Monday, July 31, it's time to say hello to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem ( PG). After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts.
