£250k expected for charities as winners of Strictly Inverness 2023 crowned
Competitors in Strictly Inverness 2023 are expected to have generated a massive £250,000 to be split between two charities following last night's grand final.
Natalie Marshall and Stevie Strang were the winning couple after an incredible show at Inverness Ice Centre.
The annual dance competition raised money for the venue and Highland Hospice.
Natalie (40), from Inverness, and Stevie (54), from Kiltarlity, scored maximum points from the judges for their two dances in the final.
Eight couples danced last night after qualifying from semi-finals on Thursday and Friday.
Natalie and Stevie won Thursday's event. Lia Smith and Sam Murphy were Friday's winners and they finished runners-up in the final.
Jade Robertson and Luke O'Brien were third overall and were also chosen by judges – BBC Strictly professional dancers Aljaž Škorjanec and Janette Manrara – as performing the most entertaining dance of the evening.
A spokesperson for the hospice said: "Huge congratulations to our Strictly Inverness 2023 winners Natalie and Stevie!
"Also special mention to runners-up Lia and Sam and Jade and Luke who finished in third place but also won most entertaining performance.
"It was such a close competition this year.
"Amazing work by all of our dancers and tutors.
"Once thank you so much to Janette and Aljaž for being our guests judges. They were amazing!"
More to follow.
