MORE than 160 people were having a ball for Highland Hospice, generating £20,000 for the cause in the process.
David and Gillian Penman at Laggan House in Scaniport hosted the charity’s Summer Sunflower Ball.
The evening included fundraising and performances from the Highland Voices choir, Tony Henry and the band Dark Horse.
A hospice spokeswoman said: “The highlight was a speech from Sasha Devine about the impact the hospice had on her and her husband Des during his illness and subsequent death.
“Sasha gave a highly personal, hugely moving tribute to Des and the hospice and we are so grateful for her bravery in speaking publicly about her experience.”
